# Consensus Node Functionality

Why use a middle-man?

etherscan.io, ETH's most consumed block explorer acts as a middle-man in providing information about all transactions on blockchain to its user base, but doesn't take advantage of consensus node functionality, which in turn delays the transfer of data. 

**In Crypto, timing is everything.**

log(x), on the other hand provides users with a direct connection to the Ethereum blockchain, allowing for instantaneous delivery of data to our users, due to the provided RPC-enabled node.

This instantaneous influx of information provides another advantage for users to stay ahead of fellow buyers.
